Books, books, books

Since the post I did on my inspirations, I still haven't really completed any of those things that I said I would, not surprising when it comes to me though. But I have actually started reading a lot more. After reading It's Right in Front of You (if you haven't already, GO BUY & READ IT!) I finally finished reading Michael McIntyre's autobiography Life & Laughing: My Story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The dear Michael is definitely my favourite comedian and I'd love to meet him one day, I think we'd have a good ol' laugh. The book was hilarious at times, quirky and I even shed a tear or two out of both laughter and sadness. Although, I now feel like one of his friends from 'back-in-the-day' or just a plain straight stalker of his. It was rather amusing to find out about all his fails in life, made me realise that even the worst fails can't put some people down, especially when you look at where he is now.
I finished that last week and immediately began reading Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I choose to read this because it struck me as a quite easy read with a possible cute relationship within it. My friend has also read it and she said it was ok, so the decision was made. What also appealed to me was the fact that it is a single book and is not a part of a series, so for once there was no pressure of having to read the next one straight after. I finished it tonight and it was exactly what I thought. I did enjoy it because of the ups and downs but thought that there could have been more about her mother, maybe have the character of Cather trying reach out, whether or not it would work I don't know but that was something that was on my mind throughout. The main relationship story-line is pretty basic and honestly quite predictable, except for at the beginning where you aren't too sure whether she will end up with Levi or Nick, but the front cover of the book gives that away, making Nick quite irrelevant to the plot. Oh well, twas enjoyable.
Now I have begun reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower which I'm sure the majority of you shall be familiar with. I have indeed seen the movie, and shed more than just a few tears this time (I'm not even joking, I had to pause it while I emptied a box of tissues drying the 'river' that I cried). It did bring back some memories that I wish not to speak of and I think that was why I was so emotional. The books always seem to be better than the film, and I have been told that this one is, so we shall see. I am looking forward to finishing Perks to move on because I have so many books that I wish to read. If you have any suggestions please do tell me! (Either comment or go on my instagram because I seem to be on it a lot recently.)
Despite mentioning a zillion other things that I really wanted to do during the Easter holidays, I did eventually manage to complete my enormous pile of homework and do a little revision - by little I mean minuscule. The boyfriend and I filmed some interesting videos, NOT WHAT YOU'RE THINKING, that when edited shall be posted onto thy interweb, otherwise known as I began doing regular exercise then realised it was Easter, and it's my birthday very soon (starts tomorrow with my birthday meal, but really it's on Sunday 27th April) and I will be pigging out. I guess to you could say I have been writing more, or at least more for me. Be proud, I think this is now two or three posts in one month. *Gives herself a round of applause then starts singing Take a Bow by Rihanna because she just typed out 'a round of applause'* And I know there are probably some spelling mistakes, I think I have mentioned this before, but that is because I am too lazy to read over my work, I will try to be more careful to please some of you picky people out there. Yes, you know who you are *cheekily winks*. I use spell check but I think eBlogger needs to sort it out because it doesn't work very well. Anyway, I think that is all for tonight. I am off to lie in bed with a hot chocolate in my Marvel mug, bed-side lamp on, onesie... ah what bliss!

Buenas noches,
       - KLC xx
